Learning about Jesse James, his brother Frank, and the James-Younger Gang could be an interesting addition to your American History studies.
Jesse James is a legendary icon of Western folklore, he was born on September 5, 1847 in Missouri. Jesse and his brother were both Confederate guerrillas during the American Civil War. After the war, however, James became most famous for robbing trains & banks. Some say he was an American Robin Hood – robbing the rich & giving to the poor.
