Today is…. December 13, 2015
Outside My Window….
The weather around here has been quite warm. It has also been gloomy with lots of fog and what seems like a sun-less sky. For the next few days we are supposed to have high 50’s to low 60’s with a little bit of rain showers here and there. Not feeling like December at all, especially so close to Christmas.
I am Learning….
All about Young Living Essential Oils. I have been using several different oils in our diffusers over the last few weeks. I love the natural, organic way that the oils are helping my family with sleeping problems, ADHD issues, migraines, and even toe nail fungus!
What I am Wearing….
It’s 11:30 am and I am still in my jammies. Our foster son has a cough so we skipped church this morning. No need to get dressed 😉
What I am Reading….
Life is Beautiful by Sarah M. Johnson. I will be starting this book this evening for review purposes. I hope to have the review published on the blog next week.
The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood. This book has been very helpful while I am learning as much as possible about using Essential Oils. There is a whole lot of information in this book, it is very thorough and detailed. The Chapter: Your Basic Care Kit is about the 10 Essential Oils that are most useful and versatile for your home medicine cabinet has been very helpful as I build our Essential Oil medicine cabinet.
I am Creating…..
A crocheted blanket for my granddaughter, Chloe. I can’t wait to meet this little blessing from God! Sometime in the next 4 to 6 weeks I will be able to share a photo of this precious angel.
Around the House….
Everett and our Foster Son are upstairs playing Legos, Eli is on the computer playing Minecraft, and Hubby is watching TV. The washer is running, with the same load that I washed yesterday and forgot to transfer to the dryer. There is a mountain of clean laundry on the table that needs to be folded and put away. There is a mountain of dirty laundry on my bedroom floor that needs to washed.
Homemaking Plans for this week….
I am working on decluttering toys. We need to remove some old toys that they don’t play with anymore to make room for the new ones that the boys will be getting for Christmas. And, obviously, all of that laundry that I just mentioned above. 😉
Homeschooling Plans for this week….
Since our weather is going to be fairly warm, I am thinking we will spend time exploring outside for some late fall nature studies.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
I am focusing on this verse this week. I have felt slightly unsure of things lately, and feeling a little lost. There are a few situations right now in our family that don’t have any definitive answers or keep changing because of other circumstances…I am struggling a bit with the unknown and constant change.
Favorite Photo from the Week….
I cannot share my favorite photo from this week. It is a photo of our Foster Son enjoying the magic show at the Foster Care Families Christmas Party that we went to yesterday. All of our boys had such a fantastic time, enjoying yummy food, cupcake decorating, the magic show, and gifts from Santa.
On Our Prayer Board….
Michaela and baby Chloe. As they are getting close to her due date, Michaela is quite uncomfortable with some pretty intense “false labor” contractions.
Hubby. He had another EEG done last week and we will be getting the results on Tuesday. He is nervous about the results because normally they tell him over the phone, this time his Neurologist wants him to come in for the results.
Well, that’s it for this weeks Homeschool Mama’s Daybook! Thank you for stopping by to catch a glimpse of our
