Being a homeschool mom can be hard and even overwhelming at times. Parenting can be challenging, and adding the task of being your child’s teacher takes that challenge to an entirely different level. I love homeschooling my kids. While I feel that homeschooling is the best choice for our family, there are many times when I feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. Memorizing scripture and referencing the bible during difficult times has helped me get through tough homeschooling days. I know that no matter what we are enduring, God is there for us and will provide us with guidance. No matter where you are in your homeschool journey, I hope you find these five bible verses for homeschool moms to be encouraging, helpful, and provide you with guidance during difficult times.
I’ve compiled a list of a few of my favorite bible verses to help encourage you as a homeschool mom. I have also created a set of Scripture Cards for you to print and keep wherever you need them. You can tuck them into your Bible, stick them on the bathroom mirror or on the fridge for quick access! You can download the Scripture cards at the bottom of this post.
5 Bible Verses for the Homeschool Mom
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2 NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6,7)
“Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the pointless discussions and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge.” (Timothy 6:20)
There are so many wonderful parts of homeschooling your child. Instead of waiting until they get off the bus to see their artwork, you get to be apart of it! Since you are the one choosing their curriculum, you do not have to worry about what they are learning. Homeschooling is also a great way to connect with your children on a deeper, one on one level.
